The cream walls were painted for morning.
Ivory silk in overhead evening light looks richer than it will at a lunch. Champagne satin does the same. That is why we ask you, if you can, to come while the window is doing the work. The gold hour in photographs is beautiful. It is not the honest hour for a purchase.
Handbags are judged on the marble table, in the middle of the room, because that is where they will live in your hall: not against a styled backdrop. The noir bag reads black in daylight. The limestone tote reads cream, not white. The cognac reads warm, which is the point.
Photographs on this site are a visit, not a substitute.
We shoot in the same rooms so the colour you see here is close to the colour on the rail. Still: walk in. The silk moves. The leather has a temperature. The light on Higher Church Street will tell you more in two minutes than a grid of thumbnails.
