Cognac is the warmest thing in the handbag edit, and it is here so the black dresses have something to answer to. The bag is small on purpose. It sits under the arm or at the hip, and the chain is long enough to wear across the body when you would rather have both hands free on a wet pavement.
The flap closes with a hidden magnet. There is no turn-lock to catch on a silk dress. Inside, the lining is black cotton so a dark phone does not show through the leather. It holds cards, a key, a lipstick and a folded ten-pound note. That is the whole brief.
